American Humane Societies

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS)
In 2011 the HSUS had already provided hands on
care for 3,500 animals rescued from cruelty and neglect. They have given veterinary care to more than 30,000 animals in need. They have taken on the sealers who slaughter baby seals for their fur, factory farms that cram egg laying hens into tiny little battery cages, and puppy millers who treat dogs like a cash crop.

They need our help and support to continue to end the cruel puppy mill industry, break up multiple dog fighting operations, stopping the worse kinds of wildlife abuse, and campaigning to make humane farming practices a normal way of life.

American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)

They were founded in 1866, the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. Founded by Henry Bergh, his mission is "to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States."

ASPCA works to rescue animals from neglect and abuse, get humane laws passed, and share resources with shelters nationwide. They run a wide variety of programs designed with one goal in mind: improving the lives of animals.

American Humane Association (AHA)

AHA was founded in 1877. They have been at the forefront of every major advancement in protection of children, pets, and farm animals from abuse and neglect. They reach millions of people everyday through invasive research, education, training and services that span a wide network of organizations, agencies, and businesses.

An alarming amount of animal abuse and neglect occurs across the country each day. Local shelters and humane societies are forced to cover medical expenses, which cause high medical bills. AHA's Second Chance Fund helps with the costs of treating the homeless animals that have fallen victim to abuse or neglect. Please step up and help the cause.
